Michael Wenzel Furmint Alte Reben is sourced from old vines around Rust whose deep roots yield only small, highly concentrated crops. The grapes are carefully harvested and matured in wood, giving the wine structure and fine spice. On the nose it shows yellow apple, ripe pear and quince, joined by lime zest, delicate herbs and a hint of wet stone. On the palate this Furmint is dense and taut, with cool, juicy fruit, lively acidity and a creamy mid‑palate. Salty minerality and subtle smoky notes add depth and length and keep the finish resonating. A concentrated, multi‑layered white from Burgenland that pairs beautifully with grilled fish, white meats, Asian dishes or mature cheese.
