Benanti Nerello Cappuccio Terre Siciliane IGT is a rare single-varietal expression of this traditional Etna grape, which is more commonly used as a minor component in Etna Rosso blends. The nose offers dark berry fruit – blackberry and black cherry – alongside violet, pepper, dried herbs and a subtle smoky note. On the palate Nerello Cappuccio is rounder and more supple than pure Nerello Mascalese, with juicy fruit, medium body and polished tannins. Lively acidity keeps the wine fresh and drinkable despite its darker flavour profile. Volcanic origins are evident in the spicy-mineral undertone and slightly savoury, salty finish. A characterful yet approachable red that works beautifully slightly chilled with grilled poultry, Mediterranean vegetables, antipasti or pizza.

Maturation in stainless steel preserves clear fruit and the spicy, harmonious style.
