Château Beauséjour Duffau Lagarosse Saint Emilion 1gcc. 2019 1,5l

Château Beauséjour Duffau-Lagarrosse is a tiny Premier Grand Cru estate perched on the limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion. The vineyard covers only a few hectares and is planted mainly with Merlot and Cabernet Franc on clay-limestone soils that produce dense, vibrant wines. Vinification is carried out plot by plot in concrete or stainless-steel vats, followed by ageing in a high proportion of new oak barrels. The bouquet offers ripe red and black berries, plum, violets and rose petals, mingling with hints of smoke, spice and wet stone. On the palate it is layered and precise, combining succulent fruit with refined but firm tannins and a long, mineral finish that underlines the estate’s distinctive style.

Maturation in new and used French oak gives the magnum density and spicy length; only an ageing range is documented.

Château Beauséjour Duffau Lagarosse

On Saint‑Émilion’s limestone plateau, Château Beauséjour (Héritiers Duffau‑Lagarrosse) draws its identity from a compact, high‑elevation parcel set where bedrock and cool subsoil shape naturally restrained power. The site’s calcareous base favours vertical structure, freshness and long ageing potential....
