Château Ducru Beaucaillou Saint Julien 2cc. 2008 0,75l

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is one of the most iconic Second Growths of Saint-Julien, facing the Gironde on a ridge of deep Gunzian gravel. Its 75 hectares of vines are planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, drawing concentration and finesse from the poor, stony soils. The bouquet delivers cassis, blackberry and black cherry wrapped in notes of violet, cedar and graphite. On the palate Ducru-Beaucaillou is dense yet silky, combining power with great precision. Ripe, finely chiselled tannins and vibrant acidity carry a very long, mineral and supremely elegant finish.

Since 1941, the Borie family has shaped its modern chapter....

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.

The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses. Cabernet Sauvignon
