Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the plantings, supported by Merlot and Cabernet Franc from predominantly old vines. Hand harvesting, plot-by-plot vinification and ageing in French oak barrels shape the estate’s refined yet uncompromising style. The bouquet offers cassis, dark berries and cherry with cedar, tobacco and graphite. On the palate Léoville Barton is powerful, focused and classically firm, with cool fruit, dense tannins and impressive ageing potential.
