La Réserve de Léoville Barton

La Réserve de Léoville Barton Saint-Julien 2020 0,75l

La Réserve de Léoville Barton is the second wine of the renowned Saint-Julien estate Château Léoville Barton. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, supported by Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and the wine is matured in French oak barrels. The nose reveals red and black berries, cassis and cherry, joined by hints of tobacco, cedar, graphite and fresh herbs. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied, with juicy fruit, finely chiselled tannins and lively acidity. The style is classically structured yet approachable, finishing with mineral, slightly saline notes. A refined left-bank Bordeaux to serve with grilled meats, lamb or slow-cooked beef dishes.

Sixteen to eighteen months in once-used French barriques give the second wine subtle oak maturity and fine structure.

La Réserve de Léoville Barton

Drawn from three centuries of family heritage in St.Julien, La Réserve de Léoville Barton speaks with the calm confidence of the Barton name. Since 1826, this Irish-rooted dynasty has shaped the estate’s style with vineyard discipline rather than château grandeur, reserving this label for younger vines and carefully chosen plots....

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.

The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses. Cabernet Sauvignon
