Château Giscours is a Third Growth in Margaux with a large single block of vineyards rooted in deep gravel soils. The plantings are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with smaller shares of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Surrounded by parkland, woods and meadows, the estate benefits from a particularly temperate microclimate. The bouquet offers blackcurrant, blackberry and plum alongside violet, cedar and gentle spice. On the palate Giscours is powerful yet supple, with generous fruit, firm but ripe tannins and a fresh, harmonious finish that captures the finesse of Margaux.

Seventeen months in French oak with 50 % new oak give this Margaux power, structure and fine tannin tension.
