The plantings are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with smaller shares of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Surrounded by parkland, woods and meadows, the estate benefits from a particularly temperate microclimate. The bouquet offers blackcurrant, blackberry and plum alongside violet, cedar and gentle spice. On the palate Giscours is powerful yet supple, with generous fruit, firm but ripe tannins and a fresh, harmonious finish that captures the finesse of Margaux.
