Château Guillot Clauzel Pomerol 2018 0,75l

Château Guillot Clauzel is a tiny 2.4-hectare Pomerol estate now guided by Guillaume Thienpont. Old vines are rooted in gravel and clay, including pockets of the blue clay that has made the appellation famous. Merlot is the dominant grape, supported by a small proportion of Cabernet Franc. Viticulture focuses on low yields and meticulous, hand-picked fruit. The bouquet offers blueberry, black cherry and plum with violet, cedar and subtle toasted notes. On the palate Guillot Clauzel is silky and deep yet finely etched, with refined tannins, cool, pure fruit and a long, precise Pomerol finish.

Ageing in French oak supports the dense Pomerol structure and harmoniously integrates the ripe fruit.
