Château L'Eglise Clinet Pomerol 2021 1,5l

Château L’Eglise Clinet is one of the most revered estates in Pomerol, with a compact, cross‑shaped vineyard of a little over four hectares. Old vines of Merlot and a high proportion of Cabernet Franc, plus a touch of Malbec, are rooted in deep clay and gravel that provide both power and refinement. Small, intensely flavoured berries are hand harvested, and the winemaking philosophy favours minimal intervention so that the terroir can speak clearly. Ageing in French oak barrels adds further detail and texture. The bouquet is packed with black cherry, blackberry and plum, alongside violet, graphite, smoke and exotic spice. On the palate L’Eglise Clinet is full‑bodied, profound and yet precise, with velvety, tightly knit tannins, vibrant freshness and an extraordinarily long, multi‑layered finish.
