Château Olivier Pessac-Léognan rouge gcc. 2020 0,75l

Château Olivier Rouge comes from the gravelly soils of Pessac-Léognan and is acclaimed as a Grand Cru Classé with a distinctive smoky, spicy character. A classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot delivers concentrated dark fruit with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and cherry, lifted by cedar, tobacco and subtle roasted aromas. On the palate the wine is dense yet refined, with firm structure, ripe tannins and fresh, mineral-driven length. It pairs beautifully with roast or grilled beef, lamb, game birds and hearty stews and will gain even more complexity after a few years of careful cellaring.

Ageing in oak casks gives the wine added structure and accompanies the dark fruit with fine oak spice.

Château Olivier

Set within the woods of Pessac‑Léognan, just south of Bordeaux, Château Olivier feels like a clearing carved out of history. Its origins reach back to the Middle Ages, long before the de Bethmann family took the helm in the 19th century and anchored the estate’s modern identity....

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.
