Château Tour de Pez Saint Estèphe cb 2019 3l

Château Tour de Pez is a Cru Bourgeois estate in the hamlet of Pez at the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. Vines rooted in gravel and clay on the left bank are planted mainly with cabernet sauvignon and merlot, plus cabernet franc and petit verdot. The bouquet reveals blackcurrant, blackberry and cherry with notes of tobacco, dried herbs, cedar and subtle toast. On the palate the wine is firm and well structured yet approachable, with ripe tannins and fresh acidity. A gently smoky, spicy finish highlights its classic Saint-Estèphe style and makes it a fine partner for beef, lamb, hearty stews and generous barbecues.

Ageing in French oak gives the wine a rounded tannic structure, depth and a finely spicy frame.

In 1931 the Soulard family gave the estate its current name; the medieval tower it referred to was later dismantled during renovations. In 1989, the Bouchara family acquired the property and set a new course of investment and ambition....
