Clos Apalta Le Petit Clos 2021 0,75l
| Brand | Clos Apalta |
| Region | America - Chile |
| Category | Wines - Red wine |
| Le Petit Clos is the second wine of Clos Apalta and offers a more approachable, juicy take on the Apalta terroir. Grapes from the same dramatic Colchagua slopes, dominated by carménère with cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc, are harvested by hand and carefully sorted. Fermentation in small vats and ageing in French oak create polished tannins and well-integrated toast. The bouquet shows ripe plum, blackberry and black cherry alongside bay leaf, menthol and a touch of smoke. On the palate Le Petit Clos is generous, vibrant and smooth, with fresh acidity and a harmonious, medium-bodied frame. The long, spicy and fruit-driven finish makes it an excellent partner for grilled beef, stews and flavourful Mediterranean dishes. | |
