Domaine de Cavalier Val de Montferrand Rouge is an organically produced red from the Languedoc, mainly based on varieties such as syrah and grenache. Vines grow on stony slopes around Montpellier, where sun and wind bring ripe yet fresh fruit. The bouquet offers red berries, cherry and a touch of plum, lifted by hints of garrigue herbs and pepper. On the palate the wine is juicy, rounded and well balanced, with soft tannins, fresh acidity and a gentle mineral note. Its accessible, fruit-driven character makes it an ideal everyday red.
