Fundador

In the warm light of Andalusia, in Jerez, Fundador begins as a bodega founded in 1730 – among the historic pillars of the Marco de Jerez. When Pedro Domecq Loustau created what is often cited as Spain’s first brandy under this name in 1874, a distinct southern style was born.

The identity is shaped by ageing through Criaderas y Solera, traditionally in American oak casks seasoned by Sherry. Maturity here is not only time, but movement: fractional blending, gentle oxidation and the memory of the botas build continuity and poise, while sun and Atlantic air set the pace.

At the bar Fundador shows its versatility in long aperitif serves – lifted with tonic or soda – and in classic cocktail architecture where it can step in for Cognac with a warmer Andalusian accent. Heritage in the bottle, modern in the mix.
