Hannes Haiden Huth Rot 2023 1,5l

Huth Rot by Hannes Haiden is a juicy Zweigelt bottled in magnum to share on convivial evenings. Ripe sour‑cherry, red‑berry and a hint of violet rise invitingly from the glass. On the palate the wine is medium‑bodied with plenty of succulent fruit, silky tannins and a fine spicy touch. Grapes from the warm area around Lake Neusiedl ripen fully, while cool nights keep the style fresh and easy‑drinking. Subtle herbal notes and a hint of dark chocolate extend the fruit‑driven finish. Slightly chilled, Huth Rot is a great match for pizza, pasta, grilled meats and hearty snack platters. An unpretentious yet carefully crafted red that turns any table into a joyful wine get‑together.

The grape variety: Zweigelt

Zweigelt is Austria''s leading red grape, producing cherry-scented wines with soft tannins, fresh acidity and gentle spice. It is a crossing of Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent.

The variety is appealing because it is juicy, versatile and food-friendly. Pair Zweigelt with roast chicken, pork, schnitzel, burgers, mushrooms and mild cheeses.
