Hannes Haiden Scheurebe vom Glimmerschiefer 2025 0,75l

Hannes Haiden turns Scheurebe into a white wine that feels immediately open, juicy and inviting. Blackcurrant leads the aroma, joined by ripe stone fruit and a gentle touch of exotic fruit. For all its aromatic intensity, the wine never feels loud; it stays fresh, clear and remarkably direct. The mica-schist soils around Eisenstadt add a cool, taut edge that balances the generous fruit beautifully. Night harvesting helps preserve freshness, while stainless-steel ageing keeps the profile precise. On the palate it is lively, energetic and easy to enjoy. It works especially well with spicy Asian dishes, curries and food with a delicate kick.

Hannes Haiden

By Lake Neusiedl, Hannes Haiden in Oggau shapes Burgenland wines with a clear sense of place. After taking over the family estate in 1995, Weinhaus Haiden expanded to more than twenty hectares, drawing fruit from Rieden around Oggau, St. Georgen, Trausdorf, St. Margarethen and Rust....

The grape variety: Scheurebe

Scheurebe is an aromatic white grape from Germany, also known in Austria as Sämling 88. It shows cassis, grapefruit, exotic fruit, herbs and bright acidity.

It pairs with goat cheese, asparagus, sushi, spicy Asian dishes, blue cheese and fruit desserts. A lively choice for expressive white wine lovers.
