This Pinot Gris comes from small, higher-lying parcels in the Herrenstück area of the Kaiserstuhl. The grapes ferment spontaneously in large wooden casks, with a small portion receiving skin contact. Seven months on the full lees build texture, gentle creaminess and finely shaped spice. Pear and apple aromas mingle with lemon peel, walnut and discreet herbal tones. The palate is rounded and concentrated, yet precise acidity keeps it fresh and inviting. Wood ageing supports the wine’s structure rather than adding overt oak flavour, allowing the pure fruit to remain clear. It is a distinctive partner for grilled vegetables, poultry, mushroom dishes, fondue or savoury cheese.

Ageing equally in stainless steel and large wooden casks combines freshness with structure and elegant clarity.
