Blaufrankisch Eisenberg DAC from Jalits is the classic introduction to the slate slopes of the Eisenberg. Vines rooted in poor, stony soils around Badersdorf yield fragrant, cool toned fruit. The bouquet shows red and dark berries, sour cherry, a hint of violet and gentle spice. On the palate the wine is medium in weight, juicy and highly drinkable, with lively acidity, slender body and approachable tannins. Clear, salty minerality adds grip and length. The finish is fresh, spicy and slightly earthy. A versatile everyday Blaufrankisch that pairs well with cold cuts, grilled dishes, poultry and aromatic vegetable cuisine.

Fermentation on the skins and stainless steel ageing preserve the fresh, red-berried and mineral Eisenberg character.
