La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion is the second wine of the renowned Château La Mission Haut-Brion in Pessac-Léognan. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot combines dense dark berry fruit with notes of graphite, cedar and tobacco. On the palate the wine is silky and structured, with ripe tannins, fine spice and elegant toasted oak. The region’s signature, lightly smoky minerality adds depth and freshness. A long finish leaves impressions of cassis, black cherry and a touch of dark chocolate. This is a refined Bordeaux for special occasions and a superb match for game, braised beef or classic French cuisine.
Ageing with around 30 percent new barrels highlights dark fruit, fine oak spice and juicy structure.
