La Mauny Rhum Vieux Agricole Extra 42% is a mature agricole rum from Martinique, distilled from cane juice and aged for many years in oak, including former Cognac casks. In the glass it shows a deep amber colour and aromas of dried fruits, vanilla, caramel and gentle baking spice. The palate combines toffee sweetness, nutmeg, candied fruit and subtle oak in a complex yet dry style. Silky texture, perfectly integrated alcohol and a very long finish underline its class. A noble sipping rum for a tulip glass, pairing beautifully with dark chocolate, roasted nuts or a fine cigar. A small splash of water opens further layers of spice and dried fruit.
