Moric Blaufränkisch Reserve brings together old vines, limestone-rich sites and minimalist cellar work to create a deeply expressive red from Burgenland. The bouquet opens with dark berries, blackberry and black cherry, joined by hints of liquorice, tobacco, orange zest and wild flowers. On the palate the wine is powerful and tightly knit, yet remarkably focused and energetic. Ultra-fine, ripe tannins frame the fruit without heaviness. A salty, mineral edge and vibrant acidity keep the texture cool and precise. The finish is very long and linear, echoing dark fruit, spice and stony notes. This is a serious Blaufränkisch with excellent ageing potential, ideal with braised beef, game dishes or richly flavoured vegetarian cuisine.
