Nehrer Burgenland rot 2020 0,75l

Burgenland rot from Nehrer is a juicy blend of Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Merlot and Syrah grown on limestone and schist around St. Georgen. The nose opens with dark berries, ripe cherry and a touch of blackberry jam, wrapped in gentle herbal and spicy notes. On the palate the wine is medium in body with supple, well‑woven tannins and a lively but not sharp acidity. Ageing in large wooden casks adds a subtle framework and hints of cocoa and smoke. The finish is fruit‑driven, savoury and harmonious. A versatile red that pairs just as well with lake fish as it does with bean stews or spicy dishes.

Large oak-cask ageing rounds out the spicy red cuvée without covering the fruit.
