Nicolás Catena Zapata is the flagship red blend of Argentina’s Catena Zapata, sourced from high‑altitude vineyards in the Andes. Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Cabernet Franc from selected parcels such as Adrianna and Nicasia combine to deliver both power and finesse. The bouquet is intense and complex, with blackberry, black cherry and plum wrapped in notes of violet, graphite, cedar and tobacco. On the palate the wine is dense yet silky, with mouth‑coating dark fruit, firm ripe tannins and vibrant acidity. Hints of dark chocolate, anise and stony minerality add depth and precision. The finish is exceptionally long and refined, making this an outstanding Andean red for grilled steak, lamb and richly flavoured dishes.

Eighteen months in French oak barrels give the cuvée structure and depth without covering its freshness.
