Stag s Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the legendary Stag s Leap Vineyard in Napa Valley, the site that wrote wine history at the famous Judgment of Paris. Today the wine remains one of the purest expressions of Cabernet from the Stags Leap District. The bouquet is dense and opulent, with ripe plum, black cherry and vibrant cassis, joined by violet, liquorice, cigar box notes and dark, smoky minerality. On the palate this Cabernet is powerful, deep and yet strikingly precise, framed by ample structure and firm, fine-grained tannins. The interplay of dark fruit, spice and cool stony nuances leads into an exceptionally long finish. A great, ageworthy wine for special occasions and ambitious cuisine.
