Taferner Carnuntum Cuvée is a smooth red blend of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent. The grapes come from vineyards in Göttlesbrunn rooted in calcareous loam and loess with gravelly topsoil, lending structure and freshness. The bouquet offers dark berries, blackberry, plums and subtle herbal spice. On the palate the cuvée is soft, juicy and medium-bodied, with ripe fruit and well-integrated tannins. Lively acidity adds drinkability and elegance without dominating. The finish is harmonious and encourages another sip. A versatile partner for pasta with savoury sauces, poultry, pork or relaxed barbecue dishes.
