Aumann Merlot Reserve 2024 0,75l

From the Thermenregion around Tribuswinkel, this Merlot brings Austrian precision together with a polished, international red-wine style. Aromas of dark cherry, ripe berries and subtle spice rise from the glass, supported by gentle roasted notes. Maturation in French oak adds depth, smooth structure and a refined touch of wood. On the palate it feels velvety, full and harmonious, with ripe fruit at the centre. The tannins are firm enough to give shape, yet soft enough to keep the wine elegant. It pairs beautifully with lamb, game, grilled meats and mature cheese. A confident choice for anyone seeking a rich, rounded Merlot with lasting finesse.

12 months in 225-liter French oak barrelss rounds out the Merlot and emphasizes spice as well as dark fruit.

On the wine shop pages those soils become explicit cues: “Steinfeld (gravel)” here, “loamy sand” there—practical markers of place. Craft shows up in élevage choices rather than slogans, for example St....
