Aumann Rotgipfler Wiege comes from the renowned Wiege vineyard and ranks among the most structured Rotgipfler wines of the estate. Following spontaneous fermentation it matures in 500-litre oak barrels on the fine lees, gaining depth and creaminess. The nose reveals exotic fruit, delicate vanilla and subtle toasted notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and dense, with a powerful frame and a long, slightly nutty finish. The interplay of ripe fruit, spice and elegant oak results in impressive complexity. A long-lived Rotgipfler with plenty of character, ideal with rich dishes and mature cheeses.

Tribuswinkel, in the Thermenregion south of Vienna, doesn’t trade on grand names—and Leo Aumann turns that into a virtue. The estate notes that the family has run the winery for more than two decades, shaped by a mild climate and a patchwork of soils; it even points to Roman-era vine growing in the area as part of the region’s long memory. On the wine shop pages those soils become explicit cues: “Steinfeld (gravel)” here, “loamy sand” there—practical markers of place.
