| Botran Ron de Guatemala No. 8 Reserva Clásica is the approachable entry into the Botran range, produced from virgin cane honey according to Guatemalan tradition. Ageing in the highlands around Quetzaltenango creates a well-balanced interplay of fruit, sweetness and oak spice. The nose offers caramel, floral notes, a touch of pepper and gentle barrel tones. On the palate the rum is soft and rounded, with flavours of sugarcane, vanilla, caramelised fruit and subtle spice. The structure remains easy-drinking without losing character. The finish is medium in length, with gentle sweetness and fine, spicy oak. A versatile rum that works equally well neat, on the rocks or as a base for quality long drinks and cocktails. | |
