Botran Reserva Blanca is a clear, barrel-aged rum from Guatemala that is carefully filtered after several years of maturation. Built on distillates made from virgin cane honey, which rest in oak casks before being gently decolourised, it offers an unusually complex profile for a white rum. The nose reveals delicate notes of vanilla, sugarcane, citrus zest and a touch of coconut, supported by subtle wood and spice. On the palate the rum is smooth, elegant and well balanced, with restrained sweetness, hints of tropical fruit and a light, barrel-derived smokiness. The structure is dry and precise, leading into a fresh, medium-length finish. A high-quality white rum that performs beautifully neat and makes an excellent base for classic cocktails such as a Daiquiri or Rum Sour.
