Château Clément Pichon Haut Médoc cb 2015 0,375l
Château Clément-Pichon is located in Parempuyre just south of Margaux and stands out for its impressive neo-Renaissance château surrounded by parkland. The vineyard lies on deep gravel and sandy soils over clay and is planted with a notably high proportion of Merlot for the Left Bank, completed by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Careful canopy work, strict selection and ageing in French oak help to shape the wine’s character. The bouquet offers black cherry, blackberry and cassis with notes of cedar, tobacco, smoke and a hint of liquorice. On the palate Château Clément-Pichon is medium- to full-bodied, fresh and approachable, with juicy fruit, polished tannins and a gently spicy, mineral finish.
Ageing in barrel and stainless steel combines subtle oak influence with preserved freshness and rounded fullness.
