Château Gruaud Larose Saint Julien 2cc. 2019 1,5l

Château Gruaud Larose is a Second Growth in Saint-Julien with more than 80 hectares of vines rooted in gravelly soils. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot form the core of the blend, joined by Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and a touch of Malbec. The vineyards are farmed organically and increasingly biodynamically, with manual harvesting and meticulous sorting. The bouquet reveals cassis, blackberry and black cherry alongside leather, tobacco, herbs and spice. On the palate Gruaud Larose is full-bodied and layered, with dense, ripe tannins, vibrant freshness and a long, complex finish that epitomises serious Saint-Julien.

Extended ageing in French oak gives this Saint-Julien depth, structure and spicy complexity.
