Château Léoville Poyferré Saint Julien 2cc. 2021 0,75l

Château Léoville Poyferré is a highly regarded Second Growth in Saint‑Julien with around 60 hectares of vines divided into several blocks and more than forty parcels. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominate the plantings on clay and gravel soils, supported by Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Grapes are rigorously sorted, vinified plot by plot and aged in a high proportion of new French oak. The bouquet is generous, with blackcurrant, dark plum and blackberry framed by cocoa, spice and a touch of smoke. On the palate Léoville Poyferré is plush and silky yet focused, with polished tannins, vibrant fruit and a long, expressive finish.

Ageing in French oak brings power and polish together, giving the wine an elegant, finely spicy frame.
