Château Rauzan Ségla Margaux 2cc. 2022 0,75l

Château Rauzan-Ségla is a renowned second growth in Margaux, prized for wines that combine grace with depth and long ageing potential. Deep gravel soils planted with cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot give finely structured, perfumed reds. The nose evokes cassis, raspberry and dark cherry alongside rose petals, violets, cedar and gentle spice. On the palate the wine is silky and medium to full-bodied, with polished tannins, cool freshness and impressive length. Its mix of finesse and underlying power makes it a classic partner for fine meats, roasted poultry, lamb and sophisticated vegetable cuisine.

Ageing for 18 months in French oak with 50 percent new wood gives the 2022 vintage density, structure and complex aromatic depth.

Château Rauzan Ségla

Close to the Gironde, where Margaux gravels shimmer with stored heat, Château Rauzan‑Ségla in Margaux has written its story since 1661, when Pierre de Rauzan took possession of the Gassies estate. Classified as a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé in 1855, it was already admired in the 18th century—Thomas Jefferson famously ordered cases after visiting Bordeaux. Since 1994, CHANEL has led a patient renaissance with an eye for timeless detail....

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.

The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses. Cabernet Sauvignon
