Château Rouget Pomerol 2018 0,375l

Château Rouget is a long-established estate in Pomerol with vineyards close to some of the appellation’s most famous names. The wine is built on merlot with cabernet franc adding structure and aromatic lift. Aromas of black fruits and plum are joined by cherry, gentle spice, violets and an earthy hint of truffle. On the palate it is silky, juicy and vibrant, with ripe, well-knit tannins and refreshing acidity. The combination of depth, spice and mineral nuance leads to a long, mouth-filling finish. It is an excellent partner for lamb, veal, poultry and refined mushroom dishes. With a little air in the glass it becomes increasingly complex and seductive.
