Maya from Dalla Valle Vineyards is one of Napa Valley’s cult reds, a proprietary blend of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc from steep hillside vineyards above the valley floor. The vines deliver low yields of intensely flavoured grapes that are hand harvested and fermented in small lots. The wine then ages in predominantly new French oak, gaining remarkable depth and silky texture. The bouquet combines dark berries, cherry and cassis with rose petals, cardamom, graphite and dark chocolate. On the palate Maya is powerful, dense and yet incredibly precise, with velvety, fine-grained tannins and seamless acidity. An almost endless, spicy, fruit-saturated finish confirms it as a benchmark Napa blend for grand meat dishes, lamb, truffle-inspired cuisine and truly special occasions.

Ageing in French oak gives Maya depth, tension and a refined, finely integrated oak character.
