Gesellmann Pinot Noir Siglos 2022 0,75l

Pinot Noir Ried Siglos from Gesellmann reveals the cool, fine‑boned face of Mittelburgenland. Vines rooted in limestone soils around Deutschkreutz are farmed organically and yield small, aromatic berries. The nose offers red forest fruits, juicy cherry, rosehip and a hint of orange zest with subtle smoky notes. On the palate the wine is silky and elegant yet surprisingly intense, carried by very delicate tannins. Lively acidity lends freshness and leads into a long, mineral‑tinged finish. A distinctive Pinot Noir that pairs beautifully with poultry, veal, mushroom dishes or refined vegetarian cuisine.

Ageing in oak barrels supports the fine Pinot fruit and the mineral, elegant structure.

Gesellmann

In the Blaufränkisch stronghold of Deutschkreutz, Weingut Gesellmann carries a long family thread—first documented in 1719—yet never static. Pannonian warmth, loam and clay give the backdrop for reds with natural grip. During the 1980s, Engelbert Gesellmann helped redefine Burgenland by planting international varieties and embracing French barriques, setting a benchmark that still echoes in the cellar....

The grape variety: Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a refined red grape known for red cherry, raspberry, floral notes, spice and silky tannins. It is most famous in Burgundy but thrives in many cool-climate regions.

It pairs beautifully with duck, roast chicken, mushrooms, salmon, pork and game birds. Its fascination lies in finesse, fragrance and the way it expresses origin.
