Classic by Josef Igler is a red blend of Blaufrankisch, Zweigelt and Saint Laurent from Mittelburgenland. Vines rooted in calcareous loam around Deutschkreutz give wines of power and juiciness. The bouquet shows red and dark berries, cherry, a hint of cassis and gentle spice. On the palate the wine is medium bodied, fruit driven and silky, with ripe tannins and fresh acidity. Subtle notes of oak complete the picture without dominating the fruit. The finish is soft, berry toned and inviting, with a touch of spice on the lips. Serve slightly cooled to underline its juicy character and easy drinkability.
