Clos de Lolol from Hacienda Araucano is a Chilean red wine from the cool, breezy Lolol Valley, influenced by Pacific winds and granitic soils. The blend combines Carmenère, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot sourced from the estate’s finest parcels. The bouquet offers ripe black fruits, blackberry, cassis, wild herbs and a hint of graphite. On the palate the wine is juicy and spicy yet refined, with dense fruit, fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity. Subtle toast and a stony, mineral edge carry into the long, layered finish. A characterful partner for grilled lamb, beef or rich Mediterranean dishes.
Ageing in second- and third-fill French barrels rounds out the cuvée and supports its complex, finely woven structure.
