Teeda Okinawa Craft Rum is produced at the Helios Distillery on Okinawa and distilled from locally grown sugarcane molasses. After at least five years of maturation in American white oak casks it shows an elegant balance of sweetness, spice and oak. On the nose caramel, molasses and dried tropical fruit meet subtle hints of vanilla, coconut and light leather. On the palate it is smooth and rounded, with flavours of brown sugar, cinnamon and gently roasted nuts. A delicate saline edge and herbal notes evoke the sea breeze and subtropical landscape of the island. The long, refined finish with impressions of honey, maple syrup and ripe stone fruit makes Teeda perfect neat or as the star of a sophisticated rum cocktail.
