Part of the Calon Ségur family, this wine represents the more approachable, fruit-driven face of Saint-Estèphe. It is sourced mainly from younger vines rooted in the gravel and clay soils of the Médoc. On the nose, blackcurrant, blackberry and ripe plum are joined by violet, graphite and gentle spice. The palate is medium-bodied, clearly structured and juicy, with ripe tannins that are firm yet silky. Fresh, maritime acidity lends elegance and drinkability, while dark fruit remains at the core. The finish is precise and persistent, with hints of cedar and tobacco. A modern expression of Saint-Estèphe in the Calon Ségur style, ideal with beef, lamb or slow-cooked poultry.

Ageing in three-year-old barrels gives the third wine of Calon Ségur subtle maturity while keeping fruity freshness in the foreground.
