Château du Tertre is a 5th Growth Margaux estate with a rare single block of around fifty hectares of vines. They are planted on a gently sloping gravel hill and include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Hand-picking, plot-by-plot vinification and ageing in French oak barrels shape the wine’s character. The bouquet reveals cassis, red and dark berries, floral hints, tobacco and cedar. On the palate Château du Tertre is finely knit, supple and yet firmly structured, with fresh acidity, ripe tannins and a long, elegant Margaux finish.
Ageing in French oak supports the fine Margaux structure and preserves the fresh, elegant fruit.
