Château Malmaison Moulis 2020 0,75l

Château Malmaison in Moulis-en-Médoc forms part of the Edmond de Rothschild Heritage estates. Its roughly 33 hectares of vines grow on clay-limestone soils with gravel, a terroir that particularly favours Merlot, which dominates the blend ahead of Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes are harvested by hand, fermented in temperature-controlled tanks and aged in French oak barrels. The style combines Merlot’s supple richness with classic Médoc structure. The bouquet shows blackcurrant, plum and floral notes with a touch of menthol and discreet oak. On the palate Château Malmaison is juicy and medium-bodied, with polished tannins, fresh acidity and an elegant, fruit-driven finish.

Sixteen months of barrique ageing combine the fruit with fine oak spice and create a rounded, elegant impression.

Château Malmaison

Between pine-fringed lanes and gravelly rises in Moulis‑en‑Médoc, Médoc, Château Malmaison sits quietly, with vines cultivated here since the Middle Ages. In 1973 Baron Edmond de Rothschild acquired the long‑neglected property beside Château Clarke, redesigning the vineyard and restoring the buildings to give the estate a precise, modern direction....
