Château Marquis de Terme Margaux 4cc. 2018 0,75l

Château Marquis de Terme is a Fourth Growth in the village of Margaux, with about 40–45 hectares of vines rooted in classic gravel mounds with sandy and clayey elements. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominate the plantings, joined by Petit Verdot, and the estate pursues environmentally friendly farming alongside a modern winery. Grapes are picked by hand, fermented in separate lots and matured in French oak barrels. The bouquet offers blackcurrant, cherry and plum with violet, spice and subtle toast. On the palate Marquis de Terme is full-bodied and silky but firmly built, with ripe tannins, bright acidity and a long, elegant, spicy finish.

Ageing in French oak gives this Margaux fullness, structure and an elegant, finely polished texture.

Château Marquis de Terme

On the heat‑holding gravels of Margaux, Château Marquis de Terme has been writing its story since 1762, when the estate entered the Marquis de Terme’s family as a dowry and took the name it still bears. The 1855 Classification brought Grand Cru Classé status, and since 1935 the Sénéclauze family has steered the property with a long‑term, generational mindset....

The grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is a world-famous red grape producing dark, structured wines with cassis, blackberry, cedar, firm tannins and ageing potential.

The variety is exciting because it combines power with recognisable character. Pair Cabernet Sauvignon with steak, roast beef, lamb, venison, burgers, mushrooms and hard cheeses. Cabernet Sauvignon
