Château Pape Clément Pessac-Léognan rouge gcc. 2017 0,75l

Château Pape Clément Rouge is a historic Grand Cru Classé in Pessac-Léognan that embodies a powerful, modern Bordeaux style. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot form the core of the blend, aged in barriques to add complexity. The bouquet shows blackberry, blackcurrant and sour cherry, woven with notes of toasted wood, leather, tobacco, chocolate and gentle smoke. On the palate it is full-bodied, dense and firmly structured, with abundant but ripe tannins and well-balanced freshness. The long, spicy finish pairs wonderfully with braised beef, lamb, game dishes and mature cheeses. Decanting before serving helps the wine open and show all its layered complexity.

Maturation in oak casks complements the elegant fruit with structure and fine oak spice.
