Le Comte de Malartic Pessac-Léognan rouge 2019 0,75l

Le Comte de Malartic Pessac-Léognan Rouge is the red second wine of Château Malartic-Lagravière, grown on gravel and limestone soils in the Graves. Merlot leads the blend, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, and the wine is aged in barrels from the grand vin. The bouquet reveals red and black cherry, cassis, violets, cedar and a hint of sweet tobacco. On the palate it is supple, juicy and immediately charming, with fine-grained tannins and a discreet, smoky-mineral edge. Lively acidity keeps everything fresh and focused. This is an inviting Pessac-Léognan that reflects the estate’s signature in a more approachable style, perfect with roast chicken, veal or Mediterranean stews.

Around 15 months in French oak, with about 25 % new wood, supports dark fruit and a firm tannic structure.

Le Comte de Malartic

In Pessac-Léognan, Le Comte de Malartic has carried its name since the 2019 vintage as the second wine of Château Malartic-Lagravière, one of the rare Graves Classified Growths recognised in 1953 for both red and white. Since the Bonnie family acquired the estate in 1997, vineyard renewal and a respectful, eco‑minded philosophy have shaped every decision....
