Gager Q2 is a powerful red blend of Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, matured for many months in used barriques. The bouquet reveals dark berry fruit, black cherry and plum, framed by fine roasted aromas, nougat and a hint of cinnamon. On the palate the wine is dense and structured, with ripe, sweet seeming fruit and well balanced tannins that give grip without harshness. The texture is rich yet polished and elegant, inviting another sip. Mild acidity and spicy notes of cassis, cedar wood and cocoa accompany the long, warming finish. An excellent choice alongside steaks, Lammgerichten or savoury grilled dishes.

Seventeen months in used barriques rounds out the berry-spiced cuvée and gives it harmonious structure.
