Luigi Maria from Fattoria Cerbaia is a Tuscan blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot crafted in a decidedly Mediterranean take on Bordeaux. The bouquet offers dark berries, plum and rich compote notes alongside cedar wood, tobacco and fine spice. On the palate the wine is dense and full-bodied, with generous fruit, ripe, fine-grained tannins and hints of menthol and roasted nuts. Ageing in barriques adds subtle toasted, chocolatey nuances while preserving freshness. The long, layered finish combines power with a velvety mouthfeel. A modern Tuscan red that shines with grilled or braised beef, lamb, game and flavourful mature cheeses.
