Silvia Heinrich elegy is a powerful red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc sourced from top sites around Deutschkreutz. Highly awarded, it ranks among the leading cuvées of Mittelburgenland. The bouquet combines dark berries, cassis and plum with notes of cedarwood, tobacco and refined toast. On the palate elegy is concentrated and tightly structured yet wonderfully polished, with ripe, ultra-fine tannins. Juicy acidity provides freshness and carries the long, spicy-mineral finish. This is an impressive food wine for dishes based on beef, lamb and elaborately composed modern cuisine.
More than three years in small oak gives this Bordeaux cuvée power, mineral depth and noble structure.
